I spent a great amount of time today grading the 4 tests I gave this week. As you all know, assessments are HUGE right now in education, so on Tuesday, I will have to present to my grade level the scores my students earned. Because it took me so long to grade, record and analyze them AND because I am pretty proud of them, I will post them here, too : )
Here are my Average Scores:
Spelling- 92%
Science- 88%
Math- 78%
Reading 72%
Not too shabby for the third week of school : )

Not too shabby. Especially the one test I saw, Science. That one wasn't all that easy because the questions were so poorly designed and some of the pictures weren't clear at all, especially for a first grader. (Hmm, does that picture show the boy smelling the flower? But wait, he's also looking at the flower, isn't he? And he's holding it near his mouth, so maybe he's tasting the flower...) Or the slippers, the correct answer is slippers aren't living, so why make them squirrel slippers? Just to be needlessly confusing, I say!
