Okay, now we'll talk about school

At lunch today, I was so looking forward to telling you that this was my best day of school yet. Unfortunately, the afternoon blew it...

We're still working on procedures and paying attention. My kids are still sooo anxious to go home. I can't really blame them, either : )

I made a little boy cry again today. He was late today, and I can not describe to you how much quieter my room was without him. When he showed up, the volume went up, too. So, after like 100, warnings, I finally put his name on the board. Immediately, his eyes welled up and his little body shook and I said "No, Christopher. I have warned you enough." He cried the whole way to music and I heard his little sobs as he walked in that door. After music however, didn't hear a peep out of him. He'll grow out of it, right?

This morning, being the cute, patriotic, conservative, primary teacher that I am, I put on a red blouse with a navy skirt and my "I voted early" sticker. I was very saddened that I was the only teacher who made any effort to promote voting today. Granted, it is a primary, but I didn't even see any stickers! And we're a voting site! I at least made the polling volunteers smile (and my kids more aware...)

I'm anxious about tomorrow. It is our first early release day. We have a meeting afterward that has 3 things on the agenda but it supposed to go from 1:30-4:15. Oh, dear... And I'm on the Solutions committee. I'm not sure what that means either. But I will find out tomorrow, and so will you : )
